Main Street Christian School

Choirs and music ministry
We are passionate about the worship of the Triune God. As we strive to “make God’s praise glorious”and to “speak to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs,” the ministry of our two choirs has been invaluable. The role of the choir at Main Street is to support the sung praise of the whole congregation and to minister God’s Word to the congregation in scriptural songs before and during our worship times.
Our children’s choir meets for practice on Wednesday evenings at 4:30 at the church under the direction of Mrs. Rhonda White, our Children’s Choir director. The adult choir meets at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evenings, following the congregational prayer meeting, and is directed by Mr. Ron Simpson. If song is one of your gifts, you will be most welcome to join our choir for practice.
If you are musical, there are several opportunities to use your gifts in the worship services in partnership with the choirs and the organist.
Please contact us here for more information or to find out how you can get involved.
Men’s prayer breakfast
On the last Saturday of each month, the men of the church gather to pray. Many men from other local churches join us as we bear the needs of our community and churches before the Lord.
Happy Hearts
Happy Hearts is our ministry to senior citizens. Regular luncheons and outings, as well as occasional guest speakers provides a full program that aims to encourage and deepen our walk with Christ. For more information on the forthcoming program, contact us here.
Women in the Church
Women in the Church provides Bible study and fellowship to all the ladies of our church at a monthly luncheon. It aims to equip the women of Main Street Presbyterian Church to serve Christ in the workplace, the home, and the church and to fulfill their callings to the glory of God. Contact us here for more information.
Youth ministry
We seek to encourage the youth of the church to grow towards maturity in faith and life through the work of our youth ministry. It is our conviction that our youth are not best served by a comprehensive entertainment based program of events, but by the faithful leadership of godly fathers at home and in depth instruction in the truths of the gospel in the context of the local church. There is a youth focused weekly Sunday School class, other teaching opportunities, and twice a month there are fun events planned. For more information, contact us here.
