David Strain, Senior Pastor

David Strain was born and reared in Glasgow, Scotland. He became a Christian through the faithful witness of a high school classmate and began to discern the call to proclaim the gospel early in his Christian life. He received BA (Hons.) in Fine Art from the University of Dundee, after which he served for two years in student ministry with the Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship. He earned a BD (Hons.) from Trinity College at Glasgow University, and a Diploma in Theology from the Free Church of Scotland College in Edinburgh, Scotland, after which he was called to be the senior pastor of the London City Presbyterian Church in downtown London, where he served for five years prior to coming to Main Street in August of 2008.

David is married to Sheena, and they have two boys, Euan and Joel.

Chad Watkins, Assistant Minister of  Discipleship and Assimilation and Youth

Chad Watkins comes to us from Douglasville, Georgia, where he served as a pastoral intern at Grace Presbyterian Church.  He has also served with a university campus ministry and worked with Thai students and pioneered Campus Outreach ministry efforts in Thailand.  Chad was graduated from Berry College in Rome, Georgia, with a bachelor’s degree in music education.  He is currently pursuing  a Master of Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary in Atlanta and hopes to be ordained in early 2011. 

Chad is married to Michelle, and they have two children, Esther and Isabelle.
